Jan-Willem Beijer

At founding three years ago, Jan Willem Beijer joined Sirius Medical BV as sales and marketing director, building on 3 decades of experience in healthcare. Beijer started at the Ignatius hospital in Breda and after working in several hospitals he moved to Medtronic in 2000. At Medtronic he has worked in sales, marketing, business management and program management in both the Neurology and Cardiology business units. First locally in the Netherlands, later regionally in Europe and worldwide. Ultimately, he led the European program of a new implantable brain stimulation therapy for severe epilepsy from the European headquarters in Switzerland. After a sabbatical in Dubai, he is now committed to guiding start-ups in the commercialization of innovative medical technology. At Sirius, he is responsible for the commercialization strategy with a focus on positioning, marketing, market access and portfolio sales. The goals are simple - to build a distinctive brand, create a portfolio value proposition, promote and fill the sales pipeline, and convert concrete interest in contracts.

Laetitia Szaller
General Counsel and VP Business Development, AM-pharma

Laetitia has over 18 years’ experience in multiple sectors, including 14 in the pharmaceuticals and medical device industry. She joined AM-Pharma in April 2020 as General Counsel and VP Business Development. Before joining AM-Pharma, Laetitia was at UCB as global Associate General Counsel BD, M&A and Antitrust. Prior to that, she was Legal Director, Emerging Markets EMEA, Central European Region and Benelux at Zoetis (Pfizer former animal health division) and has also led the EMEA legal department for the Abbott Vascular division at Abbott. She also held global positions at the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group and at the automotive division (Wabco) at American Standard. Laetitia holds a Master’s degree in International and Comparative Law from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and is a qualified lawyer in both the UK and Belgium, with extensive international experience, regularly speaking at various legal conferences.

 

Janine Versteeg
HR & Office Management, AM-Pharma

Janine has 15 years experience as an executive assistant in multiple sectors, including the last 10 years in small biotechs. Over the years, Janine fulfilled several roles at AM-Pharma, from quality assistant to her current position as Head of Office management and HR Associate. She is also involved in the communication strategy for the company.

 

Gretchen Schweitzer
Managing Director, Trophic Communications

Gretchen has more than 25 years of experience as a strategic communicator serving the global biopharmaceutical industry, advising companies ranging from early-stage innovators to pharmaceutical leaders. Prior to Trophic, Gretchen built the European office of a US-based life sciences communications firm as Managing Director. In addition to 4 years on the management team of a Munich-based biotech company, her expertise is grounded in her career at Feinstein Kean Healthcare (Boston) where she oversaw the entire Corporate Practice, leading a team advising over 50 biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies on corporate communications, investor relations, media outreach and IPO and funding strategies.
